Another Birthday: Family Reflection Video

Celebrating family life

Between Saint Andre and Venerable Peyton is our very own Father Pinto!

Today is Father Pinto’s birthday! I was remembering last year on this day, we were visiting his family in Kerala, India and were blessed enough to have a meal with them. The food was delicious, so much so that I was very full, but one of the Sisters kept putting food on my plate, thinking my saying “I’m good, I’m good” meant I needed more!

What does this have to do with feeding the hungry masses? I think Jesus is all about food and feeding people. He gives us no less than his very self to nourish us with the living bread come down from heaven. Jesus is about food, feeding the body and soul, feeding the family and nourishing us with his own love and mercy.

Do we thank Jesus for each meal? What prayers do you say?

Lord, we pray for blessings on those who are celebrating this month, and may the new year bring them new experiences and blessings!
