Humble, Hungry, and Smart: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity  |  Celebrating family life

As we progress in our life’s journey we start to realize more and more the importance, influence, and impact of healthy and quality relationships.

It is certainly clear from today’s Gospel passage that relationships with God and others are of primary importance. The first relationships many of us have are through our own families, as our mothers and fathers bring us into this world through the everlasting grace of God.

God, too, is part of our families, as He is Father to us all. He is a figure who can hug and protect us, just as our fathers and mothers have done since our births. The relationship we hold with God is crucial to the human form and without Him we would be lost.

We must realize that Jesus Christ came to earth so that God could be our Father and strengthen the relationship humans had with Him. It took His own life, death, burial, and resurrection for Jesus to repair the relationship between humans and God – a relationship which was broken by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

As a team player in God’s kingdom, are we humble enough to accept ourselves as we are? Are we hungry enough to be willing to commit fully to God? Are we smart enough to strengthen the relationship between ourselves, our families, and God?

May God bless us all to be a team player in his Kingdom.
