Are You Ready? Family Reflection Video

Celebrating family life

We have a tendency to underestimate just what we’ve been entrusted with.

As a kid, I remember my parents saying they’d be back at a certain time, and they wanted us to complete a task, like raking the leaves or doing the dishes, before they got back. Well, after watching football, eating snacks, and arguing about who should be helping with the task, my parents would come home early, and then we had no place to run. The lesson was that we didn’t prepare, that it would have been better to start well ahead of time … just in case they came home early.

Today, Jesus tells us to prepare ahead of time. God has blessed us all with potential to work towards how we’re needed in building up the Kingdom of God. We may or may not make headlines, but each of us has been entrusted with an important role.

Are we ready to use our gifts when God calls us? Are we ready for the unknown hour He will come?

We pray that our hearts be prepared to receive God always; looking forward to that blessed day!
