Bearing Good Fruit and Doing Some Summer Pruning: Family Reflection Video

Celebrating family life

The tree may be good, but don’t forget to do some hedging every once in a while.

The recent passing of Charles Krauthammer had me reflecting on the gifts God gives us and how we use them. Mr. Krauthammer was a respected journalist and commentator who had been in an accident that left him paralyzed. Professionally, he brought insight and news to many, while personally, he was a husband and father. The fruit of his life was that he used the talents God had given him and lived a life that had meaning.

At times, we’re reminded by the passing of a good person that we should thank God for the fruits he has helped us to bear and the need at times to do some pruning.

How do I try my best to live in God’s grace every day? Do I use my gifts to bear good fruit?

May we take the time today to reflect on the good fruit we are bearing as well as the areas that need some work.
