Beauty will save the World: Family Reflection Video

Return to the Church

My first-hand experience in Peru reminded me that we all want something beautiful for God and our faith.

“How lovely your dwelling, O Lord of hosts.” Psalm 84:2

Often, upon crossing the threshold of a church or cathedral, your breath will be taken away by the beauty. It is beauty that touches the soul and draws one toward the infinite. It’s as if one enters a space and time set apart from ordinary life.

This is our family’s home in God’s house! When you and your family enter a church or cathedral, do you “feel” it? Is it a different sensation than when you enter some other type of building? Pay attention to what you’re feeling the next time you visit your church. Remind your children to do the same. As a family, discuss the experiences and possible reasons.

Let us pray together that Beauty will save families and our world. God bless you.
