Can You Hear Me Now? Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity  |  Celebrating family life

How and why did the crowd get there first?

Jesus’s mother and brothers were unable to join him because the crowd was so large. When Jesus says his mother and brothers being those who wish to hear God, he is talking about those who wanted to get close to hear him speak, something important to them, so they managed to get there even earlier than those close to Jesus!

Think about how we arrive early for concerts or big events. We get there before the starting time so we can get a good seat, but there are always people who get there just a little earlier and got seats just a little better! We know how badly we wanted to get there, like Jesus’s mother and brothers, but there are those who are truly dedicated to hearing God’s Word and will get there early to get a seat, just so they can hear it.

How often do we tune in to God each day? Are we listening all the time?

May God open our ears today, helping us to hear His whispers of guidance.
