Author Samantha Stephens discusses her new book, The Bellbind Letters (based on C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters), written to address the challenges and temptations Catholic mothers face.
For Lent, Catholic Mom is offering an online book club on The Bellbind Letters: Inside the Devil's Plan for Your Motherhood by Catholic Mom contributing writer Samantha Stephenson!
In this new book, written in the style of C.S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters, Samantha Stephenson delves into an examination of conscience to uncover the subtle temptations that mothers face in their daily lives.
In week one, Samantha shares what inspired her to write The Bellbind Letters. She talks about how freeing it was to consider the way the temptations described in the book played out in her own heart and to see just how much Satan hates the beautiful and the good things. The inspiration behind the characters' names alone is a reason to listen in!
For each Book Club session, Samantha and host Allison Gingras will discuss six letters. Each letter is only a few pages in length, so a little bit of reading every day will keep you on track. Making this a perfect Lenten read!
