Catholicism for the Senses: Family Reflection Video

Catholicism for the Senses: Family Reflection Video

Learn more about our faith

During the last four months Netflix, Amazon Prime and Turner Classic Movies have seen subscriptions skyrocket.

Michael Medved, a Hollywood talk show host, film critic and observant Jew, said that during the Golden age of Hollywood, the great Jewish studio moguls used Catholic theology to sell films to predominantly Protestant America. Many of the great Hollywood directors have been Catholic because the sacramental, Catholic imagination gives them an advantage. Films that put to service all five senses! Catholicism uses bread and wine, oil and water, salt and light, incense and smoke, colorful vestments, light and darkness. Catholicism breathes in the smells, tastes, colors, blood, sweat, tears, and the feel of daily life.

Dear friends, let your family be touched by these wonderful films that open us up to the ways in which the Lord calls us to come to Him.
