Growing up, my family went through the storms of isolation, abandonment, poverty, and sickness. We placed our trust in God, prayed as a family, and were gifted with healing and a miracle that helped our situation.
Jesus reminds us today that the foundation of our lives comes from our willingness to accept his teachings and give them a try. A strong foundation makes it possible for a house to survive dreadful storms; a foundation based on attentive listening of the Word of God and shaping our lives around it.
