Every day we experience the cosmic battle between God and Satan. It’s up to us to choose who wins.
It’s human to oppose those who threaten us, to fight evil with evil. However, by grace we can embrace a more Christ-like response and recognize that getting back isn’t our only option.
Our strong fears, doubts, and feelings of shame and guilt have the power to control us and put us on the defensive, causing us to lash out at others. But with Jesus by our side, these reactions are powerless. He never abandons us, even in our moments of weakness or failures.
How can you work on dethroning Satan and enthroning God in your life? When someone talks badly about you, how can you model to others what it means to offer your pain to Jesus?
With an attitude of deep gratitude, I pray that you share the goodness and kindness of God beginning in your own family.
