Do Not Worry About How You Are to Speak or What You Are to Say: Family Reflection Video

Return to the Church

With little time left on this earth, the dying man in front of me said, “Can you save me?” My response came not from me but somewhere else, deep within.

I told the man who had just explained all the mistakes and wrong paths taken in his life, “No, sir, I cannot save you. But Jesus can!” This reminds us of Jesus’ words to the disciples, “Do not worry about how you are to speak or what you are to say.” God’s grace is full of surprises and will help you find the words to lead people home!

If you are worried about someone in your life who has gone in a direction that concerns you, I encourage you to think of this dying man who even near the very end made peace with God and returned home to his mother, the Church.

Keep praying for the ones you love who’ve wandered off. There is after all, no prayer more powerful than a mothers’ for her children.
