“How many of you want to go to heaven?” … “Good, who wants to go right now?”
We are so unprepared!
Today’s readings are about the “end times.” They serve as opportunities for us to:
- Recognize who we actually are
- Recognize where we stand in relation to what we are called to be
- Refocus on living a life worthy of our call to holiness
Our God invites us to rededicate ourselves to living our life most meaningfully. Hope is reborn with every sunrise and every sunset, and calls us to express our gratitude for the gift of life, family, and relationships. It also calls us to repent for our failures, making promises to amend our ways, and seek the healing and rejuvenating rest to begin yet another day.
Before you sleep tonight and as you wake tomorrow morning, keep God’s invitation in mind, and pray for His help and guidance to live a meaningful life, dedicating each day to Him.
“Look carefully then how you walk,
not as unwise men (and women)
but as wise,
making the most of the time.”
(Ephesians 5:15).
