Faith is a State of Openness: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity  |  Celebrating family life

“Minds are like parachutes. They only function when they are open.” –James Dewar

A farmer said he had puppies for sale, and when a little boy came to get one, he chose the slow, small, runt of the litter. The farmer was puzzled, but the boy said the puppy was exactly what he needed.

What is striking about Jesus is his self-identification with the small, little, crippled, and abandoned. All God desires from us is openness, and that is something anybody can have, no matter their abilities or situation.

Are we open to God and others? Are we sensitive to other’s needs?

Pray with me today that we may open ourselves and our families to God, ready to receive His love and grace always.
