Fake News: Family Reflection Video

Holy lives of inspiration  |  Seasonal Reflections

These days many of us are confused between fake news and genuine news. Between truth and lies. Who do you believe when two people have different accounts of the same event?

“Faith gives joy. When God is not there, the world becomes desolate and everything becomes boring and everything is completely unsatisfactory. It’s easy to see today how a world empty of God is also increasingly consuming itself, how it has become a wholly joyless world. The great joy comes from the fact that there is this great love and that is the essential message of faith.” Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI), Salt of the Earth.

There will always be people who are easily swayed by lies. We have it today in the Gospel selection from Mathew; two versions of The Resurrection reported by two different groups.

Why do we believe one story rather than the other? The Apostles were our credible witnesses to that incredible joy of The Resurrection, revealed through the Holy Spirit.

Are you also a credible witness? Do you share this genuine news to help transform the lives of others? To help transform your family and home to be more joy filled?

God bless you and your family during this holy octave of Easter.
