“Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad”
We celebrate Father’s Day on the third Sunday of June, in wondering if Jesus celebrated Father’s Day, I think he did every day. Jesus had a close relationship with his father- he retreated often to talk to him. He would make sure no one knew where he was going, as he speaks in today’s gospel of being humble in faith.
Jesus shows us the beautiful messages of Father’s Day can be exchanged every day with God. He needs no grand gestures, just you.
Do we speak to God every day? What am I saying to my Heavenly Father?
Let our families be a sacred space where we encounter God every day in prayer. Amen.
