Family Reflection Video: An Invitation and a Challenge!

Family Reflection Video: An Invitation and a Challenge!

service  |  faithfulness

You will not be remembered for what you received, but for what you gave. Today we reflect on Jesus’ invitation and challenge to each of us.

Jesus invites us to change our relationship with him and challenges us to live our Christian lives responsibly.

Dorothy Day who is considered a contemporary American saint once said, “You can easily do what I do, but by convincing yourself that I am someone special, you allow yourself to escape from your own responsibility.” Have you ever thought this about your own role models? Do you think you could ever achieve what your role models have achieved?

Talk with your family tonight about this invitation and challenge Jesus presents to us. Are you willing to do everything you can to be the best Christian for you and your family? How can you each accomplish this? Share your ideas in the comments below!

Jesus reminds us, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." (Matthew 19:21). God bless you.
