Easter is the most joyful time of the year. In today’s Gospel the three most important words are: joy, love and commandments.
Love and joy may not always come to mind when we think about the Do’s and Don’ts of the commandments. It seems almost opposed. Jesus tells us, “As the Father loves me, so I also love you.” And then adds, “If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love.” And finally, “My joy might be in you and your joy might be complete.” This is our road to happiness.
How can we love our children in such a way that they experience the full, beautiful love of God?
