As a teenager, I was often resentful and disobedient. My father was a strict disciplinarian … and he was my hero and role model.
God asks us to act on the basis of love, not fear. We are called to act morally for the sake of higher values. As we grow into adulthood, we discover that the goodness of God is all the reason we need to be at our very best.
We are the seed of God sown in the present reality of the here and now. In spite of all that is choking us in our present culture and society, we must strive to develop the best that is in us for God and for others. Meditate on this thought for a moment. How are you doing? Some days and circumstances may make it more of a challenge than others. How can you and your family help each other to bring out the best in each of you?
Thank you for joining us today. Please be assured, dear blog friends, I keep all of you in my prayers here at the Father Peyton Center.
