Family Reflection Video: Give Thanks at All Times

Family Reflection Video: Give Thanks at All Times

faithfulness  |  inspiration

What do you do when things get rough? Do you get tied up in the turmoil? Do you focus on the trouble in your heart or in the hearts of others? Are you so absorbed in hurt that you forget to give thanks?

As we heard in the scripture today, there was trouble even in Jesus’ time. Similar to stories we read in the bible, when we experience difficulties in our lives it’s easy to lose sight of the goodness around us. Jesus reminds us that even in great trouble we should always give thanks to God.

This Thursday the United States celebrates Thanksgiving Day! This holiday, proclaimed by the great President Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War, is the perfect example of how to give thanks in the midst of despair.

When you gather together with your family and friends this evening, ask each person to share at least one thing they are grateful for.

Have a safe and blessed week. My prayers are with you and your families.
