Family Reflection Video: Giving and Receiving

Family Reflection Video: Giving and Receiving

service  |  celebration  |  lent

Mardi Gras is a pre-Lenten celebration with parades, throwing of beads and dancing through the streets. Many people wear masks to hide their identity ... but at the end of the celebration the masks are removed.

During this holy Lenten season we are invited to let the Easter light shine through us these 40 days, helping us to see without masks who we are and where we are in our relationship with God.

How can you and your family grow closer to God during this holy season? Ask each member of the family to share their ideas. Some thoughts might include spending time together in prayer as a family, fasting from our undue attachment to our gadgets and giving generously our time, talent, and treasure.

Friends, it is true the more we give, the more we receive! Keep this in mind for the next 40 days and pay attention to what happens. And let us know about it in the comment space below.

May God continue to bless you and your family.
