In the Gospel today we heard Jesus choose his disciples. These were ordinary men who did ordinary things. He didn’t choose them for what they were, but for what they would be capable of becoming under His direction and power. With God all things are possible.
When the Lord calls us to serve, we should not shrug back because we think we have little or nothing to offer. Rather, embrace and trust in Him that He’ll use your talents for greatness.
Do you seem to have an “impossible” roadblock in you or your family’s life? Ask yourself if it’s really “impossible” … or do you just need to have a little more trust in God?
Let’s end this reflection together in prayer, “Lord Jesus Christ, you are the Son of God and the Savior of the world. Inflame my heart with a burning love for you and with an expectant faith in your saving power. Take my life and all that I have as an offering of love for you, who are my All.” Amen.
