Family Reflection Video: Handling Rejection

Family Reflection Video: Handling Rejection

faithfulness  |  strength and hope

Thomas Edison’s teacher once said he wasn’t very smart. If Edison had believed that negative voice, we might still be living by candlelight! Today we reflect on silencing condemning comments and listening to God’s voice.

Don’t limit yourself because of poor choices you’ve made in the past or assumptions you’ve heard others make about you. It’s not what they say, it’s what you hear. Silence the negativity and listen to God’s loving voice.

Just like Jesus was rejected by many, we sometimes are too. It’s not easy and oftentimes very lonely. I encourage you to take some time to talk to your family about handling rejection. No matter how many times they’ve been hurt by others’ words or actions, remind each of your family members that they are worth so much to God.

My friends, God has a plan for you and your family. By connecting with Him in prayer, you’ll discover what’s next. It’s time to turn to the Lord who loves you just as you are and become the person God intends you to be. God bless.
