Family Reflection Video: Happy Birthday, Blessed Mother Mary

celebration

Our Blessed Mother, Mary, is the perfect role model for us. Today, as the Church celebrates her birthday, let’s reflect on three of her many qualities that make her such an inspiration.

Mary is the perfect example of what it means to be humble, hungry and smart:

Humble: We are called to be humble, just as the wonderful Mother humbly accepted God’s call for her. Discuss with your family some characteristics of humility.

Hungry: Mary fulfilled the world’s hunger, as she gracefully brought Christ to all of us and brings each of us into friendship with Him. Can you think of ways to show others the grace of God’s friendship?

Smart: Mary was and remains the smartest in keeping her relationship with God number one in her heart. As the Mother of all, she loves, comforts, consoles and strengthens all God’s children. Reflect on your relationship with Mary.

If you want to be humble, hungry and smart, look to Mary, and let her bless your family and all your relationships.
