Family Reflection Video: How Close Have You Come to Jesus?

Have you ever thought about your spiritual genealogy? From the priest who baptized you to the bishop who ordained that priest and on and on. It’s an unbroken line of spiritual connection that travels back to the twelve apostles. Thus, going back to Jesus.

Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI’s wisdom certainly gives us a lot to think about; especially when we reflect on our personal encounters with Jesus.

Tonight when you’re with family or close friends, ask how close they have come to Jesus? Reflect together on the moments you feel closest to Jesus. Do you experience it during mass, personal prayer or a simple interaction with another person?

I pray for you and your family every day. Let’s ask God to show us Jesus this Advent.
