Family Reflection Video: Love and Hospitality

Family Reflection Video: Love and Hospitality

service  |  inspiration

“Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have unknowingly entertained angels” (Hebrews 13:2).

As we heard in the story about the single woman who opened her home to a large Vietnamese family in the 1970’s, hospitality becomes a gift to those who receive it and also to those who give it! The woman was an angel for the family, generously providing a safe roof over their heads, but in return the family also became angels for her! They opened her eyes to a different culture, presented her with a wider world, and gave her love. Each was a gift to the other.

What would have become of the family without the love and generosity of the humble woman? Just like her, we can be loving and hospitable in many ways. Brainstorm ways you and your family can become more loving and hospitable. Who needs protection, care, and mercy in your community? What can you do for them?

We have been blessed. Let’s pass it on. Have a joyful weekend, my friends.
