Family Reflection Video: Sweet as Honey

Family Reflection Video: Sweet as Honey

inspiration  |  saints  |  Learn more about our faith

What could possibly taste so sweet but after time, curdle and sour in your stomach? Jesus might be using our senses to help us relate to this important story today.

In Jesus’ story, the sweet honey (our faith) will surely curdle in our stomachs, weaken and die if we don’t share it with others!

The disciples Peter and Paul used their boldness to share the Good News after being blessed with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Saint John Paul II also used new ways to share the Good News with the world! These faithful men are role models for us.

Sharing our faith is what we are all called to do! How do you and your family do that? It doesn’t have to be on a worldwide scale as Peter, Paul and Saint John Paul II did … but our efforts could end up having a worldwide effect! Just imagine if we all started small … in our family, in our neighborhoods, in our schools, in our community … our collective efforts could bring the Good News to the world! How will you start?

May God bless you for sharing the Good News and the joy of our faith with those you love!
