Family Reflection Video: The Beloved of God

Family Reflection Video: The Beloved of God

celebration  |  inspiration  |  saints

It was the unconditional love of Jesus that filled the churches over the Christmas weekend … families yearning for a deeper faith and renewal. We can still feel that afterglow of love! Let us bring this love into our homes and families.

Saint John the Apostle and Evangelist was beloved by Jesus for many reasons. He was the only disciple who did not forsake Jesus in the hour of His Passion … but rather stood at the foot of the Cross. Later, he was also the first disciple to reach the tomb of Jesus.

Saint John is a holy role model for us and learning about him prompts us to think about how we love others. Do I have the same eagerness to overcome my faults with love? Do I care for my parents like John cared for Mary after the death of Jesus? Am I the first to reach my family members in need? Do I recognize Jesus in my family members and others?

Discuss these questions with your family or start a conversation with others in the comment section below.

I pray your home overflows with love! I pray that all who visit your home feel the love in your family. May God bless your family and all families in the world. Amen.
