Family Reflection Video: The Proof is in the Pudding

Do you ever feel like you’re at a crossroads in your life and forced to make a decision that might not be popular? Often it’s not easy.

The Catholic Church addresses major life concerns of the day. As followers of Christ, truth is the only thing that sets us free. The truth of Jesus in its fullness is what really matters to our families. We cannot pick and choose what to believe. Rather as children of God, we are called to follow Jesus’ teachings.

Saint Juan Diego, whose feast day we celebrate today, embraced his newfound Christian faith while never letting go of his cultural identity. His ability to converge those two worlds inspired many!

When you’re with family tonight, talk about the challenge of living up to the truth. How can you help each other to consistently make decisions for yourself and your family that represent your commitment to your faith?

I am so glad you joined us today. May you and your family continue to follow Jesus’ teachings. God bless.
