Family Reflection Video: The Woman Who Converted a Continent

God is quite the artist. Have you seen his freehand of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Juan Diego’s cloak?

The message of Our Lady of Guadalupe helped to build bridges between cultures and worlds. Over 9 million people entered the Catholic Church during a 7 year period as a result of Mary’s inspiration. It began the transformation of the Americas into a Christian continent of hope.

When you’re together with your family tonight, talk about the significance of Mary’s multiple apparitions to Juan Diego. How can you and your family imitate the merciful love and tenderness of the Blessed Mother this Advent season?

We’ll close in prayer: Lord, it was the Mother of your Son who led the people of Mexico to embrace the Good News. She came as one of us, a Mother for all people, a Mother trusted and loved, a Mother of the human family. Amen.

Thank you for joining us today. Blessings to each member of your family.
