Family Reflection Video: Walk in a Manner Worthy of God

Family Reflection Video: Walk in a Manner Worthy of God

faithfulness  |  Religious Life

Every role we have and what uniform we wear in life come with responsibilities.

In today’s first reading,  St. Paul reminds the Thessalonians, "I treated each one of you as a father treats his children, exhorting and encouraging you and insisting that you walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into his Kingdom and glory." This is a call to religious leaders to stay away from titles and honors and hypocritical shows of importance … and to treat all people as sons and daughters of God.

As Christians we are all called to love everyone we encounter and treat them with respect. We are called to embrace the word of God, no matter what role we have or what uniform we’re wearing. Discuss with your family how you can each become true examples of your faith in your everyday life.

Pray together: Loving God, your gospel is a gospel of hope and joy. The life that you have given us is the greatest enterprise in the world. Help our family to embrace your Word and live in joy today and every day. Amen.
