Finding the Courage to Get Back Up: Family Reflection Video

Healing the family  |  Return to the Church

There are all sorts of circumstances that can take us from having it “spiritually together” to being in the breakdown lane and wondering, what happened?

We’re human beings. We’re subject to the stresses of life: physical, mental, and yes, spiritual. Even with the best of intentions … even after we have made spiritual progress in our lives, we can lapse into old patterns.

This is when Jesus reminding us that He is the Bread of Life - that we receive in Holy Communion - is so comforting and encouraging.

When we are weary and overwhelmed by this world, we are not without hope. Jesus, the Bread of Life, has come to fortify our courage to walk with Him today and the rest of our days, no matter where we’re called to go.

Have you or members of your family ever felt like you were in the “spiritual breakdown lane”? Perhaps you’re feeling this way right now. From where will you draw your strength? Jesus will give you the courage to get back up.

May God bless you and your family with hope, courage and strength.
