From Fear to Holy Amazement: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity

What turns fear into holy amazement?

Maybe you have been through this before- God is calling you to do something that gives you a sense of fear. It may be something small, such as volunteering, or a life changing event, such as marriage.

Those who were not afraid, James and John, were so comfortable, that they asked Jesus for something they needed him to help them understand. Jesus helps us to remember His call includes understanding that we are to enter into the service of God and each person He brings into our lives.

Jesus has paid the price and will set us free if we can only place out trust in him. When we come to believe in this truth then it is holy amazement that leads us to imitate Christ.

How do I overcome my fears to come closer to God? How do I encourage others to do this as well? How can we work together to ease our fear and strengthen our trust?

Today, let us pray that our fear lead us closer to God and that we may bring others closer to Him alongside us.
