Go and it Be Done to You as You Have Believed: Family Reflection Video

Why pray?  |  Healing the family

What do we expect from our God?

The United States Women’s Soccer Team recently won the World Cup, and brought international attention to the wage gap and differences in pay between men and women. The expectation is that both sides be compensated equally. Expectations are powerful drivers, not just in sports, but certainly in our relationship with God and each other.

As Jesus speaks today, the ailed woman and Jarius both have the expectation that the Lord can heal their problem, and find God’s generosity shaped by the capacity of human faith. These healings relate to Patrick Peyton, who was completely healed, despite having a fatal illness and went on to change the world with his messages on family prayer.

Our expectation in the Lord’s grace and the power of our prayers are among the greatest forces on earth. How have you experienced this greatness?
