God Knows Our Minds: Family Reflection Video

Why pray?  |  Seasonal Reflections

Not quite mind-reading, but mindfully knowing…

A theme I noticed today is that God knows what we hold in our minds and is here for us. He knows what our concerns mean to us, whether it be last minute shopping or getting icing on the cake. We can relate to feeling weary at this time, and like Ahaz, God will not give up on us even if we are the ones getting in the way.

Instead, God provides the promise of what we celebrate each Christmas: the birth of Jesus; God with us. He reaches into our hearts and minds to lead and reassure us that with him all things are possible.

What worries are you holding on to? How can you allow God in to help?

We pray for our concerns to be lifted from our shoulders today, let us embrace the beautiful season upon us!
