They show us what true greatness is and where it comes from.
This week, we celebrate the birthdays of two holy people whose lives were filled with the Holy Spirit: Andre Bessette and Patrick Peyton. Both of these men came from humble beginnings, grew up in nowhere towns, were shy and sickly, overall, didn’t seem like they would amount to much.
Brother Andre became Saint Andre Bessette, known for healing and caring for others. Father Peyton is now Venerable Patrick Peyton, thanks to his large-scale efforts to spread the Rosary as a form of prayer that would bring families together all over the globe. The seed of faith had been planted in both of these men, who then made it their mission to live humbly and pass on the strong faith they had been taught.
