Harvest: Not Panic, but Preparation: Family Reflection Video

Why pray?  |  Love thy Neighbor

Act now or you’ll miss this special offer!

We’re in the last week of Ordinary Time, which means we are being offered a special opportunity in today’s readings about time running out and a final judgement. We hear of the earth being harvested, the sickle taking away the crop, the good and the bad separated. In this use of nature’s harvest, God is reminding us of the plan of salvation for all people which involves a judgement of how we have lived.

To keep us grounded, Jesus wants us to remain calm and on track, despite all sorts of calamities around us. He goes to makes sure we are prepared, watching, and wise; so that when the time comes we’re on our way to Heaven and not the wine press.

Do I prepare myself each day? How to I help prepare my family?

We pray about this with our families today, because we don’t know when the Son of Man will appear.
