“Row, row, row your boat … Gently down the stream.” Remember this song from your childhood?
Today’s Gospel reading might be pointing to our blindness. We see and hear but perhaps don’t comprehend. We read His Word but perhaps don’t actually believe it. We experience His power but perhaps still can’t depend on it completely.
The Lord is challenging each of us to examine our lives in the light of His work in us and in our families. He can take your little and make a lot out of it!
Have you and your family invited Jesus into the boat of your life’s journey? Do you welcome the mystery of Jesus - the one thing necessary in life - to sink deeply into you?
Together, let’s finish that little song I began with … “Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily … Jesus is on board!”
