Hidden Joy: Family Reflection Video

Love thy Neighbor

Would you notice the great musician?

A man played the violin in a busy metro station, where many heard, but few listened. Children were pulled along by their parents, and passerby dropped change or a dollar in his case every so often. When the violinist was done, he had made $32 and had received no applause.

Two days earlier, this same violinist has played a sold out theater show, with tickets costing near $100 to watch him play on his million-dollar violin. The player was Joshua Bell. He had been stationed in the metro as a social experiment. If we cannot appreciate fine music on a fine instrument played by a talented musician, we are missing something. If God was to call out to us, we could miss it as easily as so many walked by Joshua Bell.

What do we pay our attentions to? Do we notice the important things?

We pray for our eyes to be opened! For the Lord’s call, let us look beyond what is in front of us.
