How Do I See Things: Family Reflection Video

Why pray?

It’s the time of year we make resolutions and try to see things anew.

“Not as man sees, does God see, because he (man) sees the appearance but the Lord looks into the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

We spend so much time and effort on our outer appearance and we neglect nurturing what’s in our hearts. It is within that we find our true selves: our dreams, fears, cares, hopes, and even dislikes. And within the heart of God is where we discover what we truly need for both ourselves and others.

Take time to get to know the hearts of your family and all those people God places in your life and come to know their hearts. This will give you the ability to be patient and kind, forgiving and encouraging.

I pray the Lord gives each of us a greater ability to see what lies in our hearts and help us love and care for what really matters. May God bless you all.
