There is a power in the “Our Father.”
I have been reflecting on the message of the “Our Father,” and Jesus’s explanation today highlights what an incredible message it is. When we dare to call God “Our Father” we are making a bold claim that we are his children. Our dignity as this precious part of God’s creation keeps us humble. Humble enough that if we let Him be in charge of our lives, it will transform into a heavenly experience.
The daily bread is God feeding us, with himself, his son. This reflects our vulnerability, whether it be physical, mental, spiritual. This vulnerability encourages us to cultivate a relationship of dependence on God.
What are you hungry for? Have we recognized God’s Kingdom, in and among us?
We pray to be fulfilled by this bread Jesus offers us.
