I’ll Carry You Until Death Do Us Part: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity

How can this couple save their marriage?

One night, John tells his wife, Christina, that he wants a divorce. She is shocked at this; they have been married for years! When the divorce papers come, everything they have is split down 50% but Christina has one more request: she asks John to pray the Rosary with her and their ten-year-old son, and then carry her to the bedroom every night for one month.

John isn’t sure why she would want to do this, but he agrees. Their family prays together, and each night, John and Christina find themselves getting closer as he carries her upstairs. It is like when they were first married. On the last night, John tells Christina, “I will carry you every day until death do us part.”

Jesus said marriage makes man and woman become one and that nothing shall separate them. Christina knew God could save their marriage, so they trusted in the Lord’s healing and found their love renewed.

Lord, heal fragmented relationships, distressed lives, and marriages in pain. Fill us with the self-giving love of Your Son.
