It’s Our Turn Now: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity

Preparing to leave can be hard…

Yesterday, I heard the eulogy for a friend’s father and realized the hope and prayer Jesus speaks of today are at work in our lives, even as we advance in years. Surrounded by this man’s close friends and family, I saw how we are all encouraged by even just one person to grow in faith, including when we leave them behind.

St. Paul quotes Jesus in saying “it is more blessed to give than to receive.” Today, let us take some time to reflect on what we’ve received so that we too can give; through our prayers, keeping watch, and strengthening the faith and love for God and our family.

Have we been giving or receiving lately?

May God bless you and your families this holy day!
