Journey in Prayer to the Global Rosary for Peace

Family Rosary  |  Global Rosary for Peace  |  Pope Leo XIV

As our world continues to long for peace, unity, and hope, the Congregation of Holy Cross and Holy Cross Family Ministries (which includes Catholic Mom and Family Rosary) warmly invites you to join us for the Global Rosary for Peace on Thursday, October 22, 2026, the Feast of Pope Saint John Paul II.

Inspired by our ministry founder and candidate for sainthood, Venerable Patrick Peyton, who reminded the world that “A world at prayer is a world at peace,” this annual event brings together families, parishes, schools, religious communities, and Catholic organizations from across the globe to pray for peace through a live Rosary.

A Moving Witness to the Universality of Our Faith

Last year, participants from 18 countries on six continents united in prayer during a beautiful worldwide livestream. Ministry Centers, schools, and parishes prepared prayer segments in their native languages, creating a moving witness to the universality of our Catholic faith. More than 67,800 people from all over the world joined us for the livestream, and we were honored to share a special message from the Vatican.

This year, we invite your family or parish to become part of this global movement of prayer. If your children or grandchildren attend Catholic school or are part of a homeschool consortium, consider sharing this event! You can register at PrayForPeace.org, and see the worldwide map which demonstrates where schools, parishes, and families will be joining us live. More than 327,000 people around the world have already pledged to pray for peace! Together, we’ve surpassed our original goal of 250,000 people praying for peace on October 22. We'd love you to join this growing global movement of prayer!

Children and adults from 19 countries will once again lead the Rosary from six continents, praying the Luminous Mysteries in multiple languages. Together we will entrust our hearts, our families, our communities, and our world to Our Lady, Queen of Peace.

Learn More About the Many Saintly Defenders of Peace

For the last nine weeks, along with our international ministry centers, we've been praying for the success of the Global Rosary for Peace. Each day, we've highlighted a holy man or woman who stood in the gap to defend the faith, marriage, and the home. Through their inspiring witnesses and daily Rosary reflections, families across six continents are invited to reclaim the domestic church and discover that lasting peace in our world begins around the kitchen table.

Invite Your Friends, Parish, and School to Pray With Us

We are almost there; however, there is still plenty of time to register, invite your family, parish, friends, well, quite frankly, to invite everyone you know to pray for peace on the feast day of Saint John Paul the Great. To follow Pope Leo XIV's call for every Catholic on earth to pray the Rosary for peace.

If you have questions, please email Margaret Dwyer Hogan. Posters, bulletin announcements, and a press release are prepared and ready for distribution to encourage families to register for the event on October 22, and we would be happy to share them with you.

May Our Lady, Queen of Peace, watch over you and your family.
