Keep Salt in Yourselves: Family Reflection Video

Keep Salt in Yourselves: Family Reflection Video

Love thy Neighbor

Why would we want to be more like salt?

An old man saw a boy throwing starfish back into the ocean after a storm. The man feared the boy’s efforts were fruitless, as there are hundreds of starfish and not enough time before they all die. But the boy saw it differently, the ones who make it back into the ocean would live; his action made a difference to them!

From this we learn a positive act makes a difference, thus making the world a better place. It’s in the little things we do that we answer our call to be the salt of the world. Each of us has a purpose, but do we recognize this role?

Come up with a list of positive acts, especially influencing the people around you. How can you try to encourage others to do the same?

We pray today for a positive spirit to guide our actions, that they may make a difference in the world, no matter how small.
