Mary was immaculately conceived – free from sin and blessed with grace.
We also receive the grace of salvation through our baptism … and we have to learn how to put it into practice in our families. Thankfully, we have Mary as our great model. She lived this in her own family.
We learn what love is and how to love in our family. It is not easy to change from being self-centered to being God-centered and others-centered, but that is what love is. We become stronger through the sacraments and praying together. We are called to live our faith and instill it in the hearts of our children.
We will grow together discovering true freedom and true love, simply being who we are: The children of God, in Jesus, with Mary, ever more like them.
As we celebrate this great Feast of the Immaculate Conception, I pray you and your family will enter into its depth and beauty that illuminate your Advent Hope!
