Make Friends with Angels: Family Reflection Video

feast-day

Throughout your life an invisible companion has taken a personal interest in you, and consequently you are never alone.

“Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd, leading him to life.” Saint Basil the Great

So often we forget all about the presence of these mysterious creatures, the angels, simply because we can’t see them. Yet they are with us always, never leaving us alone.

Angels are exceedingly interested in us, so we should take an interest in them! Call upon your guardian angel and the angels of your family members often. Ask them to care for and gently guide your loved ones. Do you already pray this little traditional prayer to your guardian angel? Teach it to someone you love too!

Angel of God, my guardian dear,

To whom God’s love commits me here,

Ever this day be at my side,

To light and guard, rule and guide.

Amen.

Guardian angels point the way to heaven, so make friends with the angels. God bless you and your family.
