Marriage is Love: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity  |  Healing the family

The importance of love in marriage.

God made marriage to run on the basis of love—it is the only way a union can last for a lifetime. Jesus says God joins two in marriage; “not for all who accept [it], but only those to whom that is granted.” Divorce, however, hardens our hearts and is comparable to an amputation: you survive but there is less of you.

In the midst of all odds prayer can sustain our families, our relationships, and our hearts. The gift of marriage makes us more than just animals compelled by instinct; we are made in God’s image, His highest creation.

How can we fulfill God’s intention for marriage? How do we show our commitments each day?

Help us all, Lord, in our brokenness. Heal our lives with Your powerful love.
