Out of Love and For Love: Family Reflection Video

Love thy Neighbor

Would you give away your wedding money?

Mother Teresa once told a story of how a newlywed couple came in and gave a great deal of money to feed the thousands of hungry people she served every day. When she asked them why they were giving up their celebration they said, “We love one another so much that we wanted to make a special sacrifice for each other at the very start of our married life.”

The couple’s relatives and friends found it unthinkable that they would do such a thing, but the couple was committed to give.

Jesus says the same to us; whoever can give up all they have is able to follow Him to the kingdom of heaven. What are you able to give up that will help you follow Jesus? Have you committed to giving your life to God?

My friends, I pray today that we are able to let go out of love and for love, as the couple in Mother Teresa’s story did. Bless you.
