Pray without Ceasing: Family Reflection Video

Why pray?  |  Strengthening family unity

Today we celebrate National Day of prayer!

I came across an inspiring reflection for today from Donny Thomas at HisVoiceOnlineTV: if you look out the window of a plane as it takes off, you’ll notice the people, animals, and cars become smaller and smaller as you go up and up. Prayer life works like this too. Our problems seem so big in the beginning, but as we pray, growing closer to God, our problems become smaller.

The apostles knew their priorities, nothing could stop them obeying God after they had experienced Jesus as the highest revelation of God to humanity. We experience Jesus close to ourselves when we connect in prayer. If we turn our eyes to Jesus, things of the earth become dim.

What are you facing that seems overwhelming?

Let us pray that we grow closer to God in prayer, making these problems smaller and smaller.
