“He said to them, “You belong to what is below, I belong to what is above. You belong to this world, but I do not belong to this world.” (John 8:23)
Jesus offers us citizenship in heaven, the fruit of which we can begin living now. We do not truly belong to this world, yet we tether ourselves to our stuff, more fixated on the tangible and risking losing the eternal. Lord, help my family work towards embracing our heavenly residence.
